Because caring for our community includes caring for our planet, we’ve spent the last 18 months testing new packaging solutions for Bi-Rite Catering.
As a Certified B Corporation, we’re so excited to share that nearly all of our Catering packaging is now compostable, from platters, bowls, lids, dressing containers, utensils, serveware, paper lining, and even the tape is now designed to compost and nurture the environment.

Our aluminum hot catering dishes and dessert glass jars are fully recyclable, staying true to our commitment to a Zero Waste future, where 90% of our materials are reused or recycled.

Rest assured, our food remains as delicious, nourishing, and satisfying as ever, with the same great presentation that adds a unique flavor to your gatherings.

One thing that is changing is that we’ll no longer have large sandwich, skewer, or tartlet platters on the menu. Unfortunately, there isn’t currently compostable packaging sturdy enough to accommodate those items. We appreciate your understanding and do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We hope you’ll continue to join us in making every meal count for our planet. We can’t wait to continue this journey with you, as we’re now turning our sights on revamping the packaging for our housemade meals in our Markets, where we’ve already transitioned the biggest portion of our housemade items to compostable packaging. And we’re just getting started.
